A beautiful city with great architecture and the treelined Canal de la Robine running through it. Visit the impressive 12th century gothic cathedral, the Via Domitia an old Roman road that leads through the south of France and into Spain, and the many restaurants and bars. High on the list is the bustling Les Halles indoor market open every day, where you can buy fantastic local produce, or sit at one of the many bars for lunch/apéro, then there is the fantastic outdoor market which is open every Thursday and Sunday.

A beautiful city with great architecture and the treelined Canal de la Robine running through it. Visit the impressive 12th century gothic cathedral, the Via Domitia an old Roman road that leads through the south of France and into Spain, and the many restaurants and bars. Gruissan with its pretty town, etangs and expansive long golden beach. Here you can have a day at the beach, walk around the village with its artisan/boutique shops, or visit the etangs. There are also an abundance of great restaurants and several bars to chose from.

Other great restaurants on offer are Le Poulpe which is very stylish and relaxing, and Ginette.
World Heritage sight Carcassonne, steeped in the history of the Cathars. There is the medieval old town where you will find the fairytale looking castle, tours, many shops, bars and restaurants. There is also Carcassonne lake not too far away, with great walks and a sandy beach to relax and swim.

A great day out at this animal park where the animals are free to wander. Located between Narbonne and Perpignan, on the coast and salt-lakes, with over 3,800 animals on over 300 hectares.

The unspoilt Mediterranean finishing villages of Peyriac and also it's twin village Bages are on the etangs, great for walks, cycling, bird watching and photography. You can quite often see the flamingos here too.

Beziers city one of the most ancient, and at the centre of the largest wine-producing region in France. Here you will find beautiful architecture, the cathedral which overlooks the city with breathtaking views, the Musée des Beaux Arts with an impressive collection of paintings and sculptures, and some great restaurants and bars.
