Sightseeing
Visit the Monastery of Santa María de la Valldigna in Simat. It is undergoing a program of restoration and is absolutely beautiful. Free entry too! The village has lots of nice bars and eateries.

Lovely historic town with real Mediterranean feel. Lots of shops, bars, cafes and squares. Historic builds (e.g. the Borgia Palace) A lovely tree shaded central promenade and a huge free car park.

Visitors Centre making a hub for glorious mountain walks, equally glorious cycling and the famous prehistoric caves. A rather good museum display, and all free. A super place for holiday photos

Visit Oliva on a Friday morning (up to about 2pm) for a really good market. Clothes, shoes, beach wear, basket, household goods, gifts and local produce piled high -& do bargain with the stall-holders

Gandia has miles of Blue Flag beaches. There is a central "main beach" maybe a mile long. At one end is the harbour & marina. At the other it turns to dunes & a more natural feel. LOTS of bars & cafes
