Commander's Palace is a classic Creole restaurant that has launched the careers of several renowned chefs. It is worth looking up the dress code and making a reservation. We would suggest going for lunch mid-week since they offer prix fixe menus and $.25 cocktails.

This amazing wine bar has been copied but cannot be reproduced. We went to a few attempts in Florida and they were not nearly as cool. The outdoor seating area is nice and they frequently host visiting chefs.
