The cottage is nested in the historic "Springs", a hamlet of East Hampton, a community known for artists including Jackson Pollock and De Kooning.The Maidstone Beach/Bay is a short walk from the cottage, and the ocean beach is a short 15 minute drive.We have many essential shops that are close, as well as farmers markets & restaurants.There are also art centers like the Krasner Pollock House.No subletting.Please read all info.

Our beautifully decorated little cottage (with an extra small detached cottage) is a unique and historic home in the artist community of "Springs", a hamlet of East Hampton.
We are the second oldest cottage, with a unique history of having been a prohibition-era rum-runner's house! De Kooning's very first artist studio in the Hamptons was next door.
On the property is the main cottage (750 sg ft), a detached smaller studio secondary bedroom cottage (175 sq ft), and a brick entertainment/lounge patio in between the 2 cottages. *The detached smaller cottage is not ideal for use in the late fall & winter months as it only has a portable radiator space heater. We do, however, have a day bed with a top twin bed and a lower roll-out twin bed in the den in the main cottage ideal for winter months. Entire property can only sustain max 4 guests.
We are on a busy corner, as the Springs has recently become very popular, so there is a lot more traffic than has been in the past.
*We do not allow pets, as we are not a fully fenced in property*

Springs is a hamlet of East Hampton. Its is now a very popular neighborhood for it's relaxed artist community, the Maidstone Park Beach and great restaurants. Springs is surrounded by many other gorgeous bays. The Maidstone Park/Bay is the closest to the cottage, a short walk or bike ride away. A beautiful beach for swimming (has a section with a lifeguards), kayaking, paddle boarding, running/walking/biking, and gorgeous sunsets. We have a beach wagon to transport all beach gear if walking to the beach. Also nearby are Harbor & Marina views on Three Mile Harbor rd. *Parking at most beaches & bays are by permit only, but you can park where ever there are no signs and it is still close to the beach.
