You will turn a simple egg into a real dish starting from the scratch.
YOU will make the dough manually and I teach you all the chef's secrets

During meal, I'll offer a relaxing wine tasting, guiding through some of the best italian wines and grapes.

You learn about the story behind each bottle and producer and how to match the perfect wine for the right food.

A very accurate selection of the BEST grapes of italy: sangiovese, merlot, chianti, pinot grey, chardonnay from organic producers around Italy

UNLIMITED WINE is included, you can taste and drink whatever you feel like :)

Ciao! I'm Federico, a private chef born and raised in Bologna

Since I was a kid, food was always my passion, learning "secrets" and cooking with my grandma and spending countless time with my granpa in his butcher shop!

I lived 5 years in U.S. and one in Australia before heading back to Bologna where I refined the art of a local and traditional cousine

I made a big change in my professional career looking for something more exiting; so, I decided to start a new project and open the doors of my kitchen, where I enjoy meeting new people and share my passion in order to export our tradition in the world!

I offer, through my workshop, an authentic "Bolognese" experience, unique and rare to find anywhere else.

I'll guide you step by step and you will feel at home and a true local for a day!

Our class with Frederico was fantastic. He started us off with snacks and wine while he explained how our class would work. We made tortelloni stuffed with ricotta and parsley and tagliatelle. We’ve made pasta before, but Frederico gave us tips and explained the process in a great way for beginners and also those with more experience. We also made tiramisu from his grandmother’s recipe, it was the best tiramisu I’ve ever had! We also got the recipes so we can recreate our meal, I can’t wait to try the tiramisu again at home. Frederico was a great host. Our wine glasses were never empty and he gave us plenty of recommendations for restaurants in town. He even helped us with dinner reservations for another night. Be sure to go early in your stay to take advantage of his local knowledge.

Federico was very accommodating! He was very encouraging and patient, and was not judge mental at all. Since it was low season, he was able to accommodate our special request. You can tell he loves food and cooking 👏🏻

Chef Fred (and his cat, Ragu) made us feel so welcome at their home in Bologna. We enjoyed the lessons, the wine, the delicious food and (of course) the tiramisu. Great class for folks who have never made pasta before and are ready learn the basics in a very hands-on way. We attended as a couple, but I imagine this would be a great experience with a group too.

Great instruction and dinner! We made two different types of pasta and a dessert. Everything was explained well and was easy to follow.

We had 48 hours in Bologna and cooking with Federico was the perfect way to round it off. He is welcoming and makes the whole experience a lot of fun and memorable! Federico was very flexible by adjusting the menu to be vegetarian for us - we cooked a delicious tagliatelle and tortellini. Plenty of wine and his feline cooking companion, Ragu are all included. Would 100% suggest to all my friends if they are ever visiting Bologna!

My daughter and I had a blast cooking authentic pasta and Tiramisu with Federico. Everything was well prepared and beautifully set up, he patiently showed us how to prepare the food and we did hands on pasta training. My daughter and I were then asked to have our dinner in the living room where the table with his grandmothers china was already arranged. After dinner, we weren’t even allowed to do the dishes. Such a fun evening, highly recommended and full on Bologna food authenticity! Enjoy!
