Delightful Historic Home in the Heart of ArcataOur lovely restored historic charmer is one of only two houses on our own private acreage, surrounded by a large meadow, a wooded area and creek below. Experience the feeling of being in nature, yet with the comfort and ease of staying right in the heart of Arcata. Our house was built in 1903 and has been lovingly restored, with gorgeous vaulted ceilings and exposed redwood beams.

It is only a 15 minute walk to downtown Plaza, five minutes up to Humboldt State University, and 10 minutes to Mad River Beach. It is a college town so it has a lot of variety in restaurants, music, and other entertainment! You will find your own private space with a separate entrance and exit plus the benefit of a relaxing hot tub under a redwood tree and stars at a reasonable price!

Our guest house sits close enough to stroll down to view the ocean or take a 5 min. drive to enjoy the local Hammond hiking/bike trails, and nearby shops and restaurants. An easy trip from Arcata airport (ACV) or Hwy 101 and close access to the areas known beaches, redwood forests, lagoons and marshes to explore. Also Humboldt State University is just a few minutes south.
